Please create a home for survivors of domestic violence
by supporting the ATV Safehouse!
Dear Friends and Supporters,
We are almost there! Thanks to supporters like you, the first phase of the Alternatives to Violence (ATV) SafeHouse renovation is complete and the Counseling and Outreach Center is fully operational. Within a few months the ATV SafeHouse will be open for survivors of domestic violence and their children. But we need your help.
We need your support today to turn the SafeHouse into a reality. Please help us reach our goal.
Domestic violence is not just a family issue, it is a community issue. Every day, women, children, and men suffer in silence at the hand of their abuser and in need of support from those who care. ATV is available 24 hours a day to provide that support, so that they can transform from victims to survivors.
A violent act, experienced as a victim or a witness, can affect every aspect of one’s life. Through comprehensive counseling, victim advocacy, court advocacy, transitional housing and self-sufficiency programs, ATV helps survivors address the impact that violence has had on their daily lives.
With your support, we can create a secure, comfortable SafeHouse of hope and healing for women and children in our community suffering from domestic violence.
The ATV SafeHouse will provide immediate safety for abused women and their children and help them regain control of their lives. Last year nearly 13,000 Colorado women and children were turned away from shelters due to lack of space and more than 20% of the women and children finding refuge in the safe shelter in other cities were from Loveland.
When survivors have the tools to live to their full potential, we all benefit as a community. With your help, families and individuals will be able to remain in our community and continue to transform their lives. Our new SafeHouse will provide a refuge from violence and victimization and set victims on a path toward survival and empowerment and survival.
There is no amount too small. You can donate once or on a recurring basis. For the price of a good cup of coffee a week, we can provide a safe space for families in Loveland and southern Larimer County who need it most.
ATV has raised nearly a million dollars to acquire and renovate an 8 bedroom house (22 beds) but operating funds are needed to complete this project.
